RACES Year of the Witch Release @ The Echo
It isn’t often that I find myself wanting to put down my camera so I can just be a fan. I was dealing with that conflict this night.
The band was killing it and the packed house couldn’t get enough. I was so happy for my friends to finally celebrate the release of “Year of the Witch”. It’s been fun being a spectator along their journey so far. Logan’s an uber fan as well, and even got to sneak in for a vocal tracking session! (and managed to stay quiet)
Congrats to RACES on your signing with French Kiss and the muuuuuuch awaited release of Year of the Witch!!

NO and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. @ The Echoplex
I recently connected with the great folks over at Dirty Laundry TV and have started shooting shows for them. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. at The Echoplex was the first of what will hopefully be many fabulous performances they asked me to cover.
NO. Yep, that’s “NO”. They’re an LA based band. I’ve seen the name pop up, but this was my first time seeing them. I don’t know much about the sextet, but their comfort on stage made it obvious that they’ve been around for a minute. If you’re a local, they’re definitely worth checking out. I also just heard that they will be playing a few shows soon with my friends, RACES …. so keep your ears open Angelinos! A few shots of them below as well….
Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., have been one of my favorites since I first heard their LP over the summer. It doesn’t hurt that their hometown of Detroit is one of my favorite cities in the world 
“It’s a Corporate World” can be heard around my house at least once a week, so I was pretty excited to see a live performance. They had just played Conan O’Brien’s show the night before, so there was a good buzz and a lot of energy happening for them at the Echoplex that night. With the exception of the bubble machine soaking my camera, I was elated with the entire performance. They were all over the stage, switching instruments, and dancing away; their drummer was the only one that stayed in one place. It made me smile.

Bolt Action Thrill @ The Viper Room
The fine boys in Bolt Action Thrill asked me to come out and shoot one of their shows at The Viper Room before taking a short sabbatical from gigging. I wasn’t familiar with their music much, but was quite surprised with what a great night it was. They are an epic dose of southern rock and definitely worth catching if you can. They won’t be playing LA for a month or so, but keep your eyes open for these guys.
(I’m sure some of you who know me personally are asking the same question… and yes, that is Jess beating the hell out of the kit.)
